Printing with Canon Pixma Pro-1, Pro-10, Pro-100 Printers
The ICC profile uses Other Fine Art Paper as the media setting, but it is grayed out in my print settings. How do I fix it?
The Other Fine Art Paper media setting has large margins by default. To unlock the media setting, select the ‘Art Paper Margin 30’ variation of the paper size you are using. In Page Setup, many of the paper sizes have a sub menu of 3 different choices for that media setting:
- US Letter (Art Paper Margin 30)
- US Letter
- US Letter Borderless
By selecting US Letter (Art Paper Margin 30) the fine art media settings will be available in your print driver./p>
If you want to print borderless, you will have to select Matte Photo Paper as the media setting, instead of Other Fine Art Paper. Your colors will remain accurate, but the shadow and dark tones will be slightly lighter, as ink is applied differently between the two media settings.
